Life has a way of taking us on unexpected journeys, and mine has been one of healing, transformation, and resilience. Today, as I launch this blog, I want to share a piece of my story with you—the story of how I found strength in sobriety, battled breast cancer, and created a space for healing and encouragement.
For years, I lived in the grip of alcoholism, believing that the bottle was both my escape and my comfort. But deep down, I knew I was losing myself. The decision to seek help was not easy, but it was necessary. I entered recovery, taking it one day at a time, and with each sober breath, I began to reclaim the life I thought I had lost. Sobriety has given me clarity, purpose, and a renewed sense of self-worth. It hasn’t always been easy, but it has been worth every step.
Just as I was beginning to embrace my sobriety, life threw another challenge my way—a breast cancer diagnosis. In that moment, I faced a choice: I could allow fear to consume me, or I could fight with everything I had. I chose to fight. Daily treatments have been exhausting, but I have learned to lean on faith, my support system, and the lessons I gained through recovery. Healing is not just physical—it’s emotional, mental, and spiritual. Through this battle, I have discovered an even deeper well of strength within myself.
My experiences have shaped the vision behind this blog and my business, Strength & Serenity Designs. I wanted to create more than just products—I wanted to create a movement of encouragement for those in recovery, those facing illness, and anyone seeking healing and transformation. This blog is my way of giving back, sharing insights, and fostering a space where we can uplift and inspire one another.
I believe healing is a journey, not a destination. Whether you are in recovery, facing a health battle, or simply seeking daily encouragement, I welcome you here with open arms. My hope is that my words bring you comfort, strength, and a reminder that you are not alone.
This is just the beginning. Thank you for being part of my journey. I would love to hear from you—what has been your greatest source of strength during difficult times? Let’s walk this path together
